Manufacturing Compounding Technician in San Antonio, TX 78218

Pay:

$17/hr

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 6am – 3pm, must be open to working OT based on business needs

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Accurately weigh, measure, and mix raw materials (resins, adhesives, solvents, additives) according to formulation specifications 
• Operate and monitor mixing, blending, and compounding equipment 
• Follow batch sheets, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) 
• Perform in-process quality checks (viscosity, solids content, appearance, etc.) 
• Maintain detailed batch records and production documentation 
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials 
• Clean and maintain mixing equipment, tanks, and work areas 
• Coordinate with production team to ensure timely delivery of compounded materials 
• Identify and report any inconsistencies, equipment issues, or quality concerns

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• Move large barrels, up to 50 lbs
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred) 
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, compounding, or chemical processing preferred 
• Familiarity with adhesives, coatings, or laminate materials is a plus 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
• Basic math skills for measurements, ratios, and batch scaling 
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols 
• Comfortable working with chemicals and industrial equipment
