Cable Assembler in Plano, TX 75074

Pay:

$17/hr

Monday-Friday 7:30am or 8am to 4:30pm or 5pm

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Cable Assembler to join our production team. In this role, you’ll build and assemble cable and wire harnesses used in a variety of products and systems. If you enjoy hands-on work, have good dexterity, and take pride in precision and quality, this is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a technical environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble cables, wire harnesses, and connectors according to drawings and specifications
  • Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires using hand tools and equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Perform continuity testing and basic electrical checks
  • Maintain organized workstations and follow 5S practices
  • Track production and complete required documentation
  • Follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and diagrams
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

Preferred:

  • Previous cable assembly, electronics assembly, or manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with crimping tools, soldering, and wire preparation techniques
  • Ability to read wiring schematics or technical drawings
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or similar (a plus)

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Clean, organized production or manufacturing environment
  • Repetitive hand motions and fine motor work required
  • Use of small tools and equipment
  • Shift work, including overtime or weekends, may be required
