Senior Manufacturing Accountant in Plano, TX 75074
Salary:
$80-90K
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
- Sunday of each month end and overtime when is needed
Job Duties and Requirements:
- Review job contracts, gather all the documentation needed in order to prepare job costing spreadsheets, assuring accuracy and punctuality
- Coordinate with Project Managers the progress billing of jobs and collection
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing budget costs to actual production costs; this includes product margin reporting and analytics.
- Research and explain variances
- Prepares general ledger entries to ensure the General Ledger is accurate and complete
- Assist with month end process and account reconciliations, proposing corrections as needed, ensuring a timely and accurate review of all the assigned accounts
- Backup Set-up and maintain Entities (Customers & vendors), including ACH information
- Review and Approve Vendor payments, keeping electronic payments as preferred method
- Prepare SOX audit information in accordance with audit timelines.
- Assure the departments are aligned with the Processes in placed.
- Review and analyze Capital expenditures and performs fixed asset accounting such as addition and disposal of Assets and depreciation entries.
- Perform monthly accruals or amortization entries, bank fees, property tax, warranties, and others
- Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes
- Monitor Cycle count program to ensure guidelines are being followed
- Review and process Outbound Freight invoices
- Must maintain the inventory system with integrity and standardization
- Complete quarterly analysis on excess and obsolete part numbers and materials
- Prepare reports per managers and sales reps (upon request)
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Liaising with other departments within the organization to ensure projects are completed
- Support suggestion program by submitting ideas for improvement
- Adhere to established company policies and guidelines
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
