Operations Manager in Manufacturing Facility in Forney, TX 75126

Salary: 

$85K-$95K

Schedule: 

Monday- Friday 6am-4pm 

Job Summary: 

The Operations Manager in Manufacturing Facility is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and team productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills, hands-on warehouse management experience, and the ability to operate warehouse machinery and equipment as needed to support operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all first shift warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, inventory control, staging, and material handling.
• Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to company policies.
• Coordinate daily workflow and staffing to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other material handling machinery as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory transactions within warehouse management systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while enforcing OSHA and company safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and ensure proper maintenance procedures are followed.
• Work closely with production, logistics, and purchasing teams to support operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Assist with loading and unloading shipments and resolving shipping or inventory discrepancies.
• Prepare reports related to inventory, staffing, productivity, and warehouse performance metrics.

Education & Experience: 

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or related certification preferred.
• 3+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience.
• Previous experience operating forklifts and warehouse machinery required.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments preferred.

Skills & Abilities: 

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving procedures.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Forklift certification preferred.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
