Material Handler/Forklift Operator in Forney, TX 75126

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, unload, store, and organize inventory throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, cherry picker, or electric pallet jack (as applicable).
• Load and unload trucks accurately and efficiently.
• Move materials to designated warehouse locations.
• Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips.
• Maintain accurate inventory through proper scanning and documentation.
• Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report maintenance concerns.
• Keep warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse staff and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of forklift operating experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to become certified).
• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
