Machine Operator- Press Brake in Georgetown, TX 78626

Pay:

$18-20/hr (DOE)

Monday-Friday

• 6am-2pm or
• 2pm-10pm

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Set up, operate, and monitor press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets and plates according to specific job orders.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine settings, material requirements, and bend angles.
• Load and unload metal sheets, ensuring proper alignment and securing of materials on the machine.
• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and fixtures to achieve desired dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and lubrication, to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
• Inspect finished products for quality, measuring and testing parts to verify conformance with specifications.
• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing required protective gear and ensuring a safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and production metrics.
• Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in machining or manufacturing is a plus.
• Proven experience operating press brake machines or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic math skills and ability to work with precision.
• Forklift certification and experience is a plus
