Junior Accountant in Richardson, TX

Salary:

$70-75K

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm 

• one Sunday a month (required) 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Maintaining accounts payable, ensure timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the debt and gathering appropriate signatures
• Review Job Contracts, gather all the documentation needed to prepare Job costing spreadsheets, assuring accuracy and punctuality
• Coordinate with Project Managers the Progress billing of Jobs and Collection
• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and balance sheets
• Prepare audit information in accordance with internal and external audit timelines.
• Monitor Cycle count program to ensure guidelines are being followed
• Assist Controller with other duties and tasks.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience with Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Analysis of balance sheet and Profit and Loss
• Desirable: cost accounting and inventory accounting
• Excel proficient: functions and pivot tables.
• Time management
• Good communication skills
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Work one Sunday a month and willingness to work hours necessary to get the job done especially when important deadlines need to be met.
