Assembler- Team Lead in San Antonio, TX 78238

Pay:

$16-20/hr

Schedule:

Monday- Thursday 6am-4:30pm

Job Summary: 

Team Leads are Assemblers who are tasked with the assembly of components of beverage dispensing equipment and ensuring their respective team is adhering to high safety and quality standards to meet production schedules. The Team Lead also assists the Production Manager in the daily operation and flow of the production line by planning, organizing and controlling assembly operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Understands how to troubleshoot test failures to the root cause.  
  • Works with operators to address errors in the assembly process or defective raw materials.
  • Capable of working as an Assembler at any station in the assembly or sub-assembly areas.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work-space.
  • Monitors team members in properly following work instructions to ensure a quality product; takes action to address problems in the assembly process or raw materials.
  • Trains team members.
  • Keeps the supervisor informed of all issues on the line related to safety, quality and productivity.
  • Works in an assembly line or independently at an established pace, sustaining the pace over the full 10-hour work-day.   
  • Works within assigned team to meet or exceed the expected pace.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods throughout their shift and lift a minimum of 25 lbs.  
  • May complete documentation related to the work order or supervise the responsible team members in proper documentation.
  • Complies with safety policies, practices and procedures and wears personal protective equipment (PPE) relevant to assigned work area.
  • Available to work overtime as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Receives close supervision related to specific work activities, assignments, methods, etc.; usually under frequent surveillance over job activities; instructions are detailed and assignments are typically short-term and repetitive.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to use pneumatic and electronically powered tools is required.
  • Ability to perform simple calculations (ie - add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks is required.
