Stockroom Clerk in Carrollton, TX 75007  

Pay:

$17-18/hr

Schedule: 

1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:00am to 4:30pm

Job Summary: 

The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for managing inventory levels, organizing stock, and ensuring that materials are received, stored, and distributed efficiently. This role supports the overall operations of the warehouse by maintaining accurate inventory records and facilitating smooth stockroom activities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming stock and materials.
• Update inventory records in the database and ensure accuracy of stock levels.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Organize stockroom for optimal efficiency, ensuring items are stored in an accessible manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom and surrounding areas.
• Prepare and package items for shipment or distribution to various departments.
• Assist in picking and packing orders as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling materials.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments regarding inventory needs.
• Assist in training new staff on stockroom procedures and best practices.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse operations preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift heavy items and operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (if required).
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
