Staff Accountant in San Antonio, Texas 78216
Pay:
$ 18.00 - $20.00 Hr.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9:00am -5:00pm
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries
- Post bank transactions, vendor bills and payments made, and customer payments received
- Prepare bank reconciliations, general ledger account reconciliations, and amortization schedules
- Maintain general journal records, ensuring entries are accurate and up-to-date
- Collaborate with operations to ensure proper accounting for inventory
- Assist with monthly and annual closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Work with various accounting software
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and financial data as requested
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience of 3-5 years in a Staff Accountant role or similar position
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent preferred
- Proficient in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and Account Reconciliations
- Demonstrated knowledge of General Ledger Maintenance, including a knowledge of debits and credits
- Skilled in making Journal Entries
- Experience in Inventory Accounting/ Inventory Reconciliation preferred
- Proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask
