*Candidates must live in the Texas City, TX 77510 area or within reasonable commute*
Salary:
$43K
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Job Summary:
The legal assistant will assist, under the direction of the team litigation attorney and/or the litigation manager, in the preparation of pending tax cases for trial and judgment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce pleadings for delinquent tax cases
- Review and analyze ‘citation returns’ for status of service
- File documents by E-file
- Skip tracing (locating individual and their location)
- All other duties assigned
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Reasonable computer skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational skill
- Must be able to prioritize job responsibilities
- Basic computer skills
- Professional demeanor
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced environment
- High School Diploma required, College Degree is a PLUS
- Title and Oracle experience is a PLUS
