Job Description

Document Control Specialist in Round Rock, TX 78664

Pay:

$20/hr

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain document control procedures and systems.
  • Manage the flow of documents, including creation, review, approval, distribution, and archiving.
  • Ensure all documents comply with company formatting, versioning, and control standards.
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems to ensure security, accessibility, and audit readiness.
  • Track document statuses and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely reviews and approvals.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and reports.
  • Train employees on document control processes and software systems.
  • Coordinate with project teams, quality assurance, engineering, and other departments to maintain document integrity.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in document management processes.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years in a document control or records management role, preferably in [industry: e.g., manufacturing, construction, pharmaceuticals, engineering, oil & gas, etc.].
  • Proficiency with document control software (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex, DocuWare, M-Files, or similar systems).
  • Strong understanding of document lifecycle, revision control, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards or other regulatory frameworks is a plus.
