Manufacturing Quality Control Technician in Forney, TX

Salary:

$44-52K

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for performing inspections, identifying defects or discrepancies, and supporting continuous improvement in warehouse operations and product quality.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming materials, components, and outgoing products to verify quality, quantity, and conformance to specifications.
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional testing using appropriate tools and documentation.
  • Identify and report non-conformances or damaged goods to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and update quality control logs.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to improve handling, packaging, and storage procedures.
  • Ensure that products are correctly labeled, packaged, and stored to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Assist in inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized inspection area.
  • Participate in quality meetings and training sessions as required.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or quality-related training is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, quality control, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications, packing lists, and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with quality tools and inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, measuring tapes).
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move products throughout the shift (up to [25] lbs as needed).
