Kitchen Sanitization Worker in Austin, TX 78705
Pay:
$15-16/hr

Schedule:
Monday- Sunday 6 am to 6pm rotating schedule 4 – 5 days a week
Job Summary:
This essential role ensures that all food preparation and service areas, equipment, and utensils are sanitized in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sanitize kitchen surfaces, workstations, floors, walls, and storage areas on a regular schedule.
- Clean and disinfect cooking equipment, utensils, appliances, and sinks after use.
- Operate dishwashing machines and manually wash items when necessary.
- Ensure all cleaning chemicals are used and stored in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Remove trash and recycling from kitchen and storage areas regularly.
- Refill and stock cleaning supplies, gloves, soap, and paper towels.
- Assist in deep cleaning of walk-in refrigerators, ovens, grills, and other kitchen appliances as needed.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions.
- Comply with local health codes, food safety regulations, and company sanitation standards.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen, janitorial, or custodial role preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation practices and safe chemical handling (training provided).
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to [25–50] lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
