Food Associate / Dishwasher in Austin, TX 78705

Schedule:

Monday- Sunday 6 am to 6pm rotating schedule 4 – 5 days a week

Job Summary:

Responsible of performing various cleaning tasks, running a dish machine, and operating a manual pot & pan wash station.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Set up dish machine &/or pot areas promptly at the beginning of each shift and keeps kitchen supplied with clean pots/pans/china/silverware/etc throughout the day.
• Maintain area with appropriate cleaning supplies and requisitions items as needed prior to running out.
• Thoroughly break down and clean equipment after each meal period.
• Check & record the dish machine temperature prior to each meal period washing.   
• Immediately stop dish machine operation if temperature is below standard & reports to supervisor.
• Test pot washing final rinse water to assure effective concentration of sanitizing solution.
• Maintain knowledge of each utility position duties.
• Able to demonstrate effective sanitation of ware washing equipment.
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning assignments according to schedule.
• Follow the standard infection control practices for hand washing, personal hygiene, grooming, uniforms, and food handling.
• Attend 90% of departmental meetings and all required in-services.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• 6 months food service experience with knowledge of commercial dish machines or pot washing
