Multicraft Maintenance Technician in Forney, TX 75206

Salary:

$59,500-67,500

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7am-5pm

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues on production and plant equipment efficiently. 
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. 
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, servo drives, industrial robots, and vision systems. 
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems, including motors, relays, drives, 3-phase power, and communication devices. 
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in manufacturing processes. 
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals for troubleshooting and repairs. 
  • Perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions to improve equipment reliability. 
  • Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work, track maintenance activities, and report failures. 
  • Assist in continuous improvement projects, modifications, and equipment upgrades. 
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe work environment. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Technical degree or certifications in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field preferred). 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial machinery in a high-speed manufacturing environment. 
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills with experience in PLCs, automation, and robotic systems. 
  • Ability to diagnose and repair servo drives, industrial sensors, power transmission systems, and industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, etc.). 
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment. 
  • Ability to perform basic fabrication, welding, and machining when necessary. 
  • Strong understanding of lockout/tagout (LOTO), NFPA 70E electrical safety, and OSHA regulations. 
  • Must be comfortable working overtime and flexible shifts as needed to support operations. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various industrial environments (heights, confined spaces, hot/cold conditions).
