KeyStaff is now recruiting for a Human Resources Specialist in San Antonio, TX 78207.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • The Human Resource Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Human Resources department by focusing on the technical and administrative aspects of the HR functions. 
  • This position is designed for an analytical, detail-oriented individual who excels in the technical facets of HR, including compliance, data management, HR systems, safety, payroll, and benefits administration. 
  • Working closely with the HR Manager, the Human Resource Specialist will ensure the effective execution of these foundational HR responsibilities, allowing the department to deliver strategic, people-centric initiatives smoothly.

 

  • Legal Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to employment laws (FLMA, HIPPA, COBRA, FLSA, OSHA, EEOC, Labor Laws) and OSHA safety standards. Develop, implement, and audit HR policies, handbooks, and job descriptions. Serve as the contact for OSHA inspections, manage unemployment and worker’s compensation claims, and maintain confidential employee records.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Oversee payroll and benefits, ensuring accurate and timely operations. Manage HR systems, address payroll queries, and support general HR duties.
  • Auxiliary HR Assistance: Assist in a variety of HR functions, including performance reviews, talent acquisition, employee relations, and training and development initiatives.

 

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least three years of HR experience, focusing on compliance and safety.
  • Deep understanding of employment laws and OSHA requirements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, ADP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
