Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Cable Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This role requires leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality. The Lead Electrical Cable Assembler will oversee and actively participate in the assembly of electrical cables, manage a team of assemblers, and ensure production efficiency and quality.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the assembly of electrical cables and components.
- Coordinate daily production schedules and workflow.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all products meet company standards.
- Supervise and mentor a team of electrical cable assemblers
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues promptly and effectively.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks.
- Train new employees on assembly procedures and best practices.
- Document assembly procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the work coordinator and production manager to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Use various software tools (e.g., Excel, Word, ERP) to manage and document production activities.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical and electronic assembly.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong understanding of AC/DC circuit theory.
- Experience using digital multimeters and OHM meters.
- Excellent safety habits and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Excellent tenure and attendance record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- An electronic knowledge test is required for this position.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in planning and coordinating production schedules and activities.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheet and word-processing software for data management and reporting.
- Experience with ERP software to plan and manage production tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with assembly of electronic systems, including electronic control panels.
- Experience with electronic testing and troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate assembly tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Experience working in manufacturing assembly environments.
