CNC Operator in Grand Prairie, TX 75050
Pay:
$19-22/hr

Schedule:
- Mon-Thurs 6am-330pm and Fri 6am-230pm
- Half day every other Sat
Job Summary:
As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, specifically vertical CNC mills (Haas and Leadwell), to produce precision parts in accordance with engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a machining environment and be comfortable working with tight tolerances and complex geometries.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot vertical CNC mills (Haas and Leadwell).
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining operations.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and material for the CNC machines.
- Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain part quality and efficiency.
- Conduct quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring machines and tools are properly maintained.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve production issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and report any mechanical issues to management.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as a CNC Operator, with a strong focus on vertical CNC mills (Haas and Leadwell).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders.
- Experience with CNC programming and G-code is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and material properties.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative in problem-solving.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Ability to lift and move materials and parts up to 50 lbs.
