KeyStaff is recruiting for a CNC Lathe & Mill Set-Up Operators in Garland, TX 75042
Pay:
$20-30/hr

Schedule:
2nd shift-Monday-Friday 3:30pm-1:00am
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC lathes and mills by installing and aligning tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to technical specifications and blueprints.
- Load and input CNC programs into machines, verify program settings, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure accurate production.
- Operate CNC lathes and mills to produce parts within tight tolerances. Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Perform routine inspections and measurements of finished parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Ensure parts meet specified dimensions and quality standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts. Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of machine setups, production runs, and any maintenance performed. Document any discrepancies or issues encountered during the production process.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating machinery. Ensure a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and maintain a safe workplace.
- Work closely with engineering and quality control teams to resolve technical issues and optimize manufacturing processes. Provide feedback on tooling and program improvements.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or degree in CNC Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in CNC lathe and mill setup and operation. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and CNC programming.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup, operation, and maintenance. Proficiency with measuring tools and inspection techniques. Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work accurately under pressure and within tight tolerances.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
