CNC Laser Operator in San Antonio, TX 78238

Pay: 

17-20/hr (DOE) 

Schedule: 

• 1st shift- Friday-Sat-Sun; 6am-6pm
• 2nd shift- Fri-Sat-Sun; 6pm-6am (must be able to train on 1st shift)

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

•   Set-up and operate laser machine without routine supervision. Will be expected to cross-train on all sheet metal equipment
•  Performs basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction of decimals. 
•  Interprets basic dimensions on a print and loads, unloads and inspects parts while maintaining dimensional tolerances within specifications. 
•  Accurately utilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gage pins.
•   Detects equipment malfunctions and/or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine as required to ensure quality of production. 
•  Reports machining problems to supervisor for assistance.
•   Maintains a clean work area, including equipment, and observes all safety procedures.
•   Follows documented operator procedures including but not limited to inspection check sheets and operator notes.
•   Performs other duties as needed and assigned. 

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

•  High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
•  1 year experience in a manufacturing environment; Sheetmetal experience preferred.
•   Knowledge and use of precision measuring instruments, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, and depth gages.
•   Knowledge of blueprint reading preferred. 
•  Must be able to cross-train and run multiple sheet metal machines.
•   Must possess basic math skills including, but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. 
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and be adaptable to a changing work environment and competing demands.  Lifting required continuously up to 30 lbs. 
•  Must be available to work overtime as required.
