6am-4pm Mon-Fri. OT possible during the week and weekends is required

Job Summary:

AOI Equipment Technician  is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of electronic components and assemblies through the use of automated optical inspection systems.  

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Operate AOI Equipment: Run automated systems that scan PCBs using cameras and software to detect defects like:
• Soldering issues
• Component misalignment
• Missing components
• Bridging or opens
• Place boards onto the machine conveyor or fixture and remove them after inspection.
• Review flagged images or data reports generated by the AOI software to determine if the defects are real or false positives.
• Manually inspect or escalate defects to a quality control technician for verification.
• Perform basic maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting of AOI machinery.
• Record and report inspection results, track recurring issues, and ensure traceability.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• Understanding of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and PCB assembly processes
• Ability to read and interpret PCB drawings, BOMs, and inspection criteria
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
• Basic computer skills and experience with AOI software interfaces (e.g., Omron, Koh Young, Mirtec, CyberOptics, etc.)
• Attention to detail and strong visual inspection skills
