Construction Superintendent in East Austin, TX
Salary:
$110-125K
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage daily field operations for construction projects, including scheduling, supervision, and coordination of subcontractors and crews.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, site policies, and OSHA standards.
- Monitor project progress and maintain production schedules to meet deadlines and milestones.
- Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications with the project team.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is performed to quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, vendors, and inspectors.
- Resolve field issues promptly to avoid delays and additional costs.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation of work performed.
- Oversee equipment usage and ensure proper maintenance and utilization.
- Lead site meetings, including safety talks and coordination briefings.
- Mentor and guide foremen and other field supervisors.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in commercial, residential, or industrial construction.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
